Chief organiser of the All India Congress Seva Dal Lalji Desai today attacked the BJP and said rulers having no regard for the Constitution are a threat to the country.

"Those who cannot connect with the Constitution of the country are a threat to the nation," he said.

He alleged that the BJP is out to divide the country in the name of religion, caste, creed and region on the pretext of nationalism and is trying to weaken the Constitution.

Desai said the people are looking towards the Congress to get rid of the current dispensation and to safeguard the country's unity, integrity and sovereignty.

The sentiment in the country is in favour of the Congress and people are waiting to see Rahul Gandhi become the prime minister, the Seva Dal chief, who arrived here as part of a campaign to hoist the national flag across the country, claimed.

He said his visit is aimed at galvanising the party workers.

Under the campaign, the Seva Dal hopes to cover 1,000 districts of the country by the end of this month.

"The tricolour will again fly in every state with the Congress flag," Desai said.
