The youth in rural areas are unable to tap the immense opportunities being created by fast developing economy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said as he called for disseminating informations and "making them aware".
"There are immense opportunities for the youth under the fast changing economy, but in the absence of proper information, they are not able to tap it fully specially in the rural areas," the chief minister said at a function to launch a fortnightly magazine 'Naya Lakshya' here at his official residence.
Stressing on making the youth more aware, he said that the magazines providing information on competitive exams should also give information on how to set up small scale units and how to be entrepreneur.

"The state government is taking steps in this direction," he said and referred to the registration of 45 lakh youth in the 'kaushal vikas mission' started in the state for honing their skills.
Referring to his pet project of Agra-Lucknow expressway, he said that once completed it will reduce dependence on cities as it will bring necessary facilities to people in their respective region.
