Actor Russell Brand confirmed that he and girlfriend Laura Gallacher are expecting their first child together.
The 41-year-old comedian took to Instagram to share the news.
"Right then. My Mum bought me this. Time to get ready! #trewlit #bookstagram #parenting," he captioned the photograph of himself holding up "The Expectant Dad's Handbook" by Dean Beaumont
Gallacher, 27, is believed to be in her third trimester but has not made an official comment yet. The couple have been on and off for years and have been living together for the last six months.
The "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star reportedly got engaged to his girlfriend on June 27 and shared the news with only family and a small group of friends at a gathering at his house.
Brand was formerly married to singer Katy Perry. They wed in October 2010 and the actor filed for divorce 14 months later.
