A Russian businessman has survived a gun attack after being riddled with 16 bullets from an assault rifle, police said.
An unidentified gunman attacked the man with a Kalashnikov rifle in the city of Volgograd while he was driving his car on Thursday, said police spokesperson Natalya Kunitskaya.
"The victim was hit by sixteen bullets, mostly in the left side of his body. His friends took him to hospital," Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoted Kunitskaya as saying.
A probe has been launched into the attack.
