Russian national arrested at Indo-Nepal border

A 31-year-old Russian national was arrested here for allegedly trying to enter Nepal from the Indian border side, without having proper immigration documents, a senior official said.

The accused, Alexander Jensen, who was on his way to Nepal from New Delhi, and was arrested yesterday by the immigration department in Sonauli area as he did not have visa and passport papers, Sonauli check post officer Pavitra Sahu said.

A case has been registered and Intelligence Bureau has been informed about the matter, Sahu said.
