Rwanda, the central African country today sought foreign direct investment from India in the areas of health, infrastructure, medicine and IT.
"We need investment in education, health, infrastructure, medicine and information technology. Investment proposals from India are cleared in a single day," Rwanda's High Commissioner to India, Ernest Rwamuc told PTI today.
He said both countries had signed deals to co-operate in vocational training, renewable energy and rural electrification.
The deals were signed by Prenet Kaul, the India's Minister of State in-charge of External Affairs and Rwanda's Foreign Minister Louise Mushikiwabo, he added.
He thanked the Government of India for giving scholarship to students from Rwanda to study in educational institutes in various parts of India, adding that at present, about 2500 students from Rwanda study in various universities and institutes across India.
