Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today said the participation of city's RWAs will be made active in maintaining parks, sanitation and other civic works if AAP is voted to power in municipal corporations.

Addressing a gathering of representatives of several Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) here, Sisodia promised that if AAP wins the April 23 MCD polls, RWAs will be involved in executing government-run works, a move that is aimed at curbing corruption.

"At present, all three civic bodies have become the den of corruption due to which BJP, Congress and officers are illegally earning money.

"But, once the AAP comes to power in MCD, we will honestly make municipal corporation a profit making body so that people will be benefited," the Deputy Chief Minister said.

He assured that house tax in the national capital will be abolished.
