S Akshayakumar today took over as the new Chairman of Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission.
State Electricity Minister Natham R Viswanathan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Akshayakumar at the Secretariat today, an official release said.
A special committee set up by Tamil Nadu government under Justice R Raghupathi, also the chairman of Central Electricity Authority, selected Akshayakumar as the new TNERC Chairman, it added.
