Public sector oil firm Numaligarh Refinery Ltd today said S K Barua has taken over as its managing director with immediate effect.
"S K Barua has taken over as managing director of Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) with effect from today," the company said in a statement.
Barua was selected by Public Enterprise Selection Board and the same was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on January 24,2018, it added.
"Barua has 33 years of rich and varied experience in the Indian oil and gas industry. Prior to his appointment as managing director of NRL, he was serving as the Director (Finance) in NRL," the company said.
"Barua is the current chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Assam since 2015 and also the Member of Regional Committee-EFP Assam.
He was awarded Best CMA-CFO 2015 by Institute of Cost Accountants of India," the statement said.
