Singapore Home Minister K Shanmugam will visit India this week to strengthen bilateral security and trade ties, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city state.
Shanmugam, who is also the Minister for Law, will lead a business delegation to the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit in Jaipur on November 19, in which Singapore is participating as a 'Partner Country', a statement said.
In New Delhi, Minister Shanmugam is expected to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Director of Intelligence Bureau Dineshwar Sharma.

The four-day visit beginning today will reaffirm the warm relations between Singapore and India and strengthen bilateral ties between the Home Ministries and security agencies of both countries.
In Jaipur, Shanmugam will meet Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and review areas of collaboration in skills development, tourism and urban planning.
Shanmugam, an Indian-origin Singapore leader, will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Enterprise Singapore.
The business delegation will also hold meetings with Rajasthan officials and business chambers to discuss opportunities for Singapore companies in
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Singapore next week.
