S Ravi ceases to be non-official director, says BHEL

State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has said its non-official director S Ravi has ceased to be a member of the board as he has completed his tenure.

The power equipment maker now has six directors on its board ,including Chairman and Managing Director B P Rao.

In a regulatory filing today, the company said that Ravi, part time non-official director has ceased to be director on its board, "on completion of his tenure on March 9, 2014".

As of today, BHEL said its board has six members. Apart from Rao, others include four functional directors and Ambuj Sharma, a part time official director. Sharma is Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises.
 

The company comes under the Heavy Industries Ministry.

According to the filing, the functional directors are P K Bajpai, R Krishnan, W V K Krishna Shankar and Atul Sobti.

The company had nine directors as on August 1, 2013, according to its 2012-13 annual report.
