SA national who concealed cocaine in stomach sent in JC

A 32-year-old South African woman arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on the charge of attempting to smuggle cocaine through the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here was today sent to 2-week judicial custody.

Mosiea Moosa, the accused, had swallowed the cocaine pellets to smuggle them into the country.

She was today discharged from Osmania Government Hospital and NCB officials later produced her before a court in Rajendra Nagar here which sent her to judicial custody till September 16.

51 pellets of cocaine, altogether weighing around 600 grams, had been removed from her stomach at the hospital.

Moosa claimed to be pregnant when the NCB officials intercepted her at the airport after arrival from Dubai.
 

A body scan revealed that she had concealed something in the stomach. The NCB officials then took her to the hospital.
