The Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (CIRB), Hisar will train 17 scientists from five SAARC countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The SAARC sponsored training on 'Herd Health Management of Dairy Buffaloes' for member country experts would be held from August 22 till 27 here, CIRB Hisar Director Inderjeet Singh said.
The deliberations in the programme will be mutually beneficial to the participants as well as to the host faculty in view of the professional profile of the participants.
India is a leading dairy producer with high degree of expertise in buffalo farming. Consequently, India offered it expertise and technology in elite research Institutes for training of the livestock scientist, added Singh.
