Cohen has teamed up with Phil Johnston in selling an untitled pitch to Paramount Pictures. The script centers on a Bond-esque agent who is forced to go in the run with his long-lost brother, who is said to be a "moronic soccer hooligan."
Paramount has yet to confirm the news, but insiders reveal that Cohen's script has been obtained for the high six- to low seven-figure range, reported Aceshowbiz.
The "Hugo" actor is set to pen the script, which is not exactly about 007 though it bears resemblance to the iconic Ian Fleming-created spy.
Cohen has also been attached to an untitled Freddie Mercury biopic, in which he is set to play the late Queen frontman.
He will next be seen starring in Tom Hooper's "Les Miserables" as villainous Monsieur Thenardier.
