Former Pakistani Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan today said he has challenged his sacking in an "Islamic court" set up by Taliban somewhere in Pakistan's lawless tribal region along the Afghan border.
Ehsan told PTI over phone from an undisclosed location that he approached the "court" to clear his name of the charges that he issued a statement which harmed relations with the Afghan Taliban.
"The Islamic court of Taliban has accepted my petition," Ehsan said. "The court also restrained all parties from issuing a statement about the disputed matter."

Ehsan was removed on June 25 by central Shura of Taliban but the decisions was made public yesterday through an email to media outlets.
He was punished apparently for allegedly siding with a local Taliban commander in Mohmand tribal district in an internal fighting which pitted a faction of Pakistan militants against Taliban fighters.
Taliban has appointed Sheikh Maqbol as his replacement.
It is for the first time that rebels have sacked a spokesman which shows increasing intra-Taliban tension ahead of US planned withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014.
