president Sukhbir Singh Badal today expelled Deepinder Singh Dhillon and Harinderpal Singh Harry Mann from primary membership of party for their "anti-party" activities.

In a statement issued here today, party spokesman and general secretary, Daljit Singh Cheema said that after carefully examining activities of both leaders, party has concluded that these leaders don't deserve a place in party.

They were engaged in "destabilizing" it from within inspite of being accorded prominent posts in Government and party, he said.

Cheema further said Deepinder Dhillon was given ticket for parliamentary elections, made Chairman of District Planning Board Patiala, President of District Patiala (Rural) but instead of being grateful to party forever, he chose to indulge in "anti-party" intrigues due to his "lust" for power. "Such thankless leaders cannot be trusted by party anymore," he said.

Cheema said that SAD had accorded a big honour to Harry Mann by rewarding him with prestigious post of Information Commissioner but alleged he "betrayed" party .

After consultation with senior party leaders it has been decided to expel both these leaders from the party immediately to make sure it serves as a lesson to "political opportunists".
