SAD MP demands special par session over crime against women

Presiding over a Sangat Darshan programme in villages of Lambi constituency, Badal said, "prevention of heinous crimes against women was the most burning issue of the nation but the attitude of Union Government is reflecting irresponsibility and non-seriousness over such issues."

"A special session of Lok Sabha should be called to debate over such terrible crimes and set stringent law to curb the same," she said.

The MP from Bathinda also said the responsibility of states should also be fixed by the Union Government to implement the stringent laws in true spirit to prevent crime and atrocities against women.

Calling upon people, especially young generations to come forward to maintain dignity and security of women, Badal said, "change in our mentality was need of the hour and we all should initiate steps from our respective homes and reforms in the society will automatically come."
