The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will hold its second 'Pol Khol' rally to "expose the Congress led conspirators trying to weaken Sikh institutions and community" on September 15 in Faridkot, a party leader said here today.

Senior vice president Daljit Singh Cheema said the rally would be presided over by five-time chief minister and SAD patron Parkash Singh Badal and party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Cheema said the first rally in the current series was being held at Abohar on September 9 as a reply to the "arrogance" of Punjab Congress president Sunil Jakhar who had challenged SAD leaders that they would not be allowed to enter the state's villages.

He said the Faridkot rally would take this momentum forward and expose the conspirators who were trying to spoil the hard won peace and communal harmony in the state.

After the recent tabling of findings of Ranjit Singh panel report in the Assembly which indicted Badal in the 2015 desecration incidents, the political atmosphere in Punjab has charged up.
