The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today welcomed the Supreme Court verdict disimissing Congress leader Sajjan Kumar's petition for quashing of charges against him in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case
SAD secretary and spokesperson Daljit Singh Cheema said the verdict has rekindled hope among Sikhs years after they were denied justice.
In a statement, he said even after 30 years of the most heinous crime directed against the Sikhs, justice has been denied to them, only because of the open support of the Congress party to the prime accused.
