Sadbhavana Day pledge administered to Raj Bhavan staff

Raj Bhavan officers and staff were administered the 'Sadbhavana Day Pledge' on the occasion of the 72nd birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, here today.

Secretary to the Governor B Venugopal Reddy read out the Pledge to the staff and officers of Raj Bhavan.

Staff of Public Works Department and the jawans of the State Reserve Police Force and Mumbai Police posted at Raj Bhavan were also present.

The Secretary to Governor paid floral tributes to the leader on the occasion.

The Sadbhavana Day Pledge calls upon the people '...To work for harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste, creed, region, religion or language' and to 'resolve all differences through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence'.
 

Mumbai Congress today organised a human chain against terrorism to mark the anniversary.
