Tension prevailed in Bilaspur village here after body of a 'sadhu' was buried in a graveyard which was opposed by members of a community, police said today.
Bale Nath died yesterday and was buried by some villagers in the disputed land of the graveyard under New Mandi police station here, they said.
Following the burial, members of a particular community objected to it and senior police officers had to rush to the spot and bring the situation under control.
Meanwhile, security has been tightened and additional police force have been deployed in the area.
