Sadhu Yadav surrenders in court, gets bail

Controversial Congress leader Sadhu Yadav today surrendered before a district court here today and was granted bail in a case related to violation of election code during 2009 general elections.

Yadav surrendered before the court of Judicial Magistrate Khyati Singh who granted him bail on two sureties of Rs 10,000 each.

A case was lodged against Yadav, who is also the brother-in-law of RJD president Lalu Prasad, on the basis of a complaint of the district administration.

Besides, Yadav, two others were named in the FIR lodged with Gandhi Maidan police station.

Yadav had switched sides to Congress on the eve of 2009 general elections. He had unsuccessfully contested from Bettiah Lok Sabha seat.
