Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti today condemned the brutal terror attack on school students in Pakistan's Peshawar and said world needs to get together to fight terrorism.

"Yesterday, young children were killed by terrorists. The world needs to get together to fight terrorism," Jyoti said while addressing her public meeting in Najafgarah area of north-west Delhi here.

The BJP MP, who had stoked a controversy by making communal comments during a public meeting in Dwarka earlier this month, also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making efforts to declare June 21 as "Yoga International Day" by the United Nations.

"Narendra Modi has been traveling across the world and in the past six months, the respect for our country has gone up tremendously. Yoga will be practiced in a total of 177 states and world yoga day will also be celebrated," she said.

The BJP MP also demanded an answer from Congress for their years of "misrule".

"They (Congress) asks for a reply for the past six months. I demand that they first give us a reply for their decades of misrule. In the past six months, price rise has also come down," she added.
