SAfrica appoints Hanneli Slabber as acting hub-head MEISEA

South African Tourism today announced the appointment of Hanneli Slabber as Regional General Manager Asia Australia Middle East and Alpa Jani as the acting hub-head MEISEA.

Slabber held the reins at South African Tourism's India office for the past seven years and will continue to guide and influence its operations going ahead, a release issued here said.

Jani had served as the Trade Relations Manager at South African Tourism's Mumbai office for seven years. --------------------------------------------- AXA appoints Gordon Watson CEO of Asia

Global insurance company AXA today announced the appointment of Gordon Watson as the Chief Executive Officer of Asia, which includes Japan, and a Member of the Management Committee of the AXA Group.
 

He will assume the role on January 1, 2018 and will report to Thomas Buberl, Chief Executive Officer of AXA.

"I would like to welcome Watson to AXA and look forward to working with him to expand our Asian Markets business, a key growth generator for the AXA Group. Watson is an experienced and energetic leader who has a strong track record of delivering results," Buberl said. ------------------------------------------- Marriott Hotels launches Indore Marriott Hotel

Marriott International today opened a 218-room property in Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

"The Indore Marriott Hotel is an exciting addition to the Marriott Hotels portfolio, our eighth in the country so far. This property embodies the brand's drive to inspire its guests to Travel Brilliantly," Marriott International Area Vice President, South Asia, Neeraj Govil said.

Marriott Hotels has over 500 hotels and resorts in 59 countries and territories around the world. ------------------------------------------------ IndiaFirst Life launches Little Champ

IndiaFirst Life Insurance, a joint venture between Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank and Legal and General (UK), today introduced Little Champ - a plan benefiting children by way of regular guaranteed payouts for financing their education and securing their future.

It is a nonlinked, participating, endowment insurance plan which provides comprehensive financial protection for a child, the company said in a release.
