Sahiyas have to play an important role: Chief secy

Underlining the importance of sahiyas and observers in uplifting the lives of the down trodden people, Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma today said that they have to play an important role in it.

"Whether Aadhaar enrolment of newly born babies, immunisation of children or ANC of pregnant women, it must be done in time," she said while reviewing the Women, Child Welfare and Social Security Department.

At the same time, she said, quality institutional delivery should be ensured, an official release said quoting her.

"Chief Minister Raghubar Das is all set to remove poverty from the state. Hence, their role is going to be important. Aanganbadi centres should be made responsible for uplift of malnourished children," Verma said.
 

She directed to make roster and hold camps for Aadhaar generation of newly born children so that children can be identified through M.C.T.S. And nutrition and immunisation can be done timely.
