Leading milk processing group, Sahyog Clean Milk Private Limited (SCMPL) has set a target to collect 90,000 litres per day by this month-end as against the existing 55,000 litres from farmers and milk producers in Madhya Pradesh.
"Amount of milk collected in the area earlier when SCMPL was at a concept stage was 2,000 litres per day, and now it has shot up to whopping 55,000 litres because of the company's integrated business model.
"The company has set a target to collect 90,000 litres per day by end of February this year," SCMPL's Managing Director Anand Patidar told PTI today.

Patidar said that a reliable milk off-take arrangement is the most essential prerequisite for dairy farmers. Since milk is a perishable commodity, farmers have faced problems of milk not being picked up on time.
To counter this challenge, Sahayog Dairy has extensively worked for setting up milk collection centre and chilling infrastructure.
One of the important services run by Sahayog Dairy is now through Primary Milk Collection Centres (PMC) which are at a convenient location in the districts, he said.
The centres are equipped with latest analyzer machine which gives an instant receipt to the farmer against the quality and quantity supplied by him.
Currently, 250 PMCs are operational which cover more than 350 villages in the districts of Harda, Dewas, Hoshangabad, Khandwa and Sehore. By the end of this financial year, Sahayog Dairy plans to expand in 450 villages in Madhya Pradesh, he said.
Established in 2009, Sahayog group is one of the leading business groups of the state which works with the vision to provide sustainable development in rural and semi-urban areas.
SCMPL, an arm of Sahayog Group, headquartered at Bhopal, works with the idea to provide market linkages to farmers for surplus production of milk.
The company is engaged in milk collection, chilling, processing, packaging and distribution in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh. It also plans to foray into retail market in the near future.
