Actor Sai Ballal has been roped in to play a shrewd zamindar on the upcoming show 'Udann'.

The 'Desh Mein Nikla Hoga Chand' actor says the role of Kamal Narayan Rajvanshi will help him grow as an actor.

"Kamal Narayan Rajvanshi is your typical zamindar who looks out for his personal gains over anything else. It's an extremely strong-headed character.

"I am looking forward to exploring a different nuance to my personality and grow as an actor. I hope the audience will support me in making Kamal a truly remarkable character," Ballal said in a statement.

The upcoming drama on Colors will explore various nuances of bonded labour and the tough decision that a parent needs to take during the most trying times in life.

On the show, Ballal will be seen staking claim on the first-born of a poor mother who is looking for funds for her father's funeral.

'Udann' will go on air soon.
