Ace India shuttler Saina Nehwal is suffering from a shoulder pain, which she developed while playing at the prestigious All England Championship in Birmingham early this month.

"Having some pain in my shoulder hope to recover soon," tweeted the Olympic bronze medallist.

The news has given a scare to millions of her fans who are waiting to see her play at the India Open Super Series at the Siri Fort Sports Complex here, starting with the qualifiers from Tuesday.

However, Saina told PTI that the pain was not serious.

"It is not serious but there is some pain," said the shuttler from Hyderabad, who turned 25 last Tuesday.

"While playing I just got it but it happens when you are playing at the highest level," she added.

The World No.2 had launched the new season by clinching the Syed Modi International Grand Prix Gold in Lucknow in January and then became the first Indian woman to reach the final of the All England Open earlier this month.
