It turned out to be double delight for Indian lifter Shivam Saini as he clinched a silver in senior and gold medal in the junior category at the 2016 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships here today.
Competing in the 94kg senior men's weight category, Saini bagged the silver medal with a lift of 132 in snatch and 168 in clean and jerk for a total of 300kg.
In the junior event, Saini won the top prize as he managed 132 in snatch and 168 in clean and jerk, according to a release issued by Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWF) vice-president Sahdev Yadav.
