Saints, hermits desire and work for happiness of all: Bhagwat

Hailing saints as pathfinders in society, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today said sadhus and sants always desire and work for the happiness and prosperity of all without discrimination.

During a visit to 'Mahimagadi' at Joranda near here, Bhagwat said "sarve bhavantu sukhinah" (let all be happy) happens to be the motto of the saints who show the path to people in the society.

Referring to climate change, the RSS chief said the need for conservation and protection of environment had been written at length in our epics long ago.

"We worship nature and Indians are more nature friendly than others," he said, adding in his own capacity he would try to solve the drinking water problem at Mahimagadi.
 

Bhagwat also visited the monasteries of Mahima cult in the area and interacted with followers.

Koupinadhari Mahima Samaj president Raghu Baba, addressing a gathering,said the Mahima cult was common man's religion, which stood for the cause of the downtrodden.
