'Salazaar' wins the Golconda St Leger (Grade II)

Less fancied 'Salazaar' ably ridden by jockey Suraj Narredu and trained by I Ghatala, won the Golconda St Leger (Grade II) (about) 2800 Metres, the last classic event on the 27th day of the 29-day Hyderabad Monsoon session held here today.

The winner is owned by United Racing and Bloodstock Breeders Ltd.

'Cameron' (jockey P Trevor up) trained by S Attaollahi claimed the previous year's Golconda St Leger Grade II, 2800 Metres. The winner was owned by Dr and Mrs Vijay Mallya rep United Racing and Bloodstock Breeders Ltd.

Trainer Laxman S scored treble and jockeys Srinath and Akshay Kumar claimed a double each.
 

Four favourites obliged in a card of seven events.
