The Salem Division of Southern Railway has bagged three awards for the year 2016-'17 for excelling in various fields of activities.
The division bagged the shields for Engineering Efficiency, Best Passenger Amenities and Stores Minor Depot at Erode, a press release said today.
The awards were presented during the Railway Week Celebrations held in Chennai during which the best performing Divisions are recognised for their work in fields of activities, such as engineering, commercial, personnel.
Southern Railway General Manager Vashishta Johri gave away the shields to Salem Divisional Manager Hari Shankar Verma and other senior officials.
