Salgaocar Football Club has roped in goalkeeper Abhijit Das from Midnapore, West Bengal in its side.
The 27-year-old keeper from Midnapore has signed a three-year contract with the club, who had put up a commendable performance under United Sports Cub, including a Man of the Match performance against Salgaocar FC in I-League tournament 2013-14.
"I am thrilled and very excited to have received an offer from Salgaocar FC. I am looking to give my best and hopefully my performances on the pitch will justify the trust Salgaocar have imposed in me," Das said in a statement today.
The player had signed his first professional contract at the age of 23 for Kolkata based Southern Samity and represented the club for 3 years.
An avid Manchester United fan, Das said he is hopeful of Uruguay doing well at the 2014 edition of the FIFA World Cup.
Abhijit will team up with formidable goalkeeper Karanjit Singh of Salgaocar FC for the upcoming tournaments, media manager Rahul Rodrigues said.
