The Goa outfit is languining at the bottom of the points table (13th place) with just six points from nine matches after facing a series of defeats.
They had put up a splendid performance against defending champions Dempo SC against whom they created a plenty of scoring chances, but a late goal by Ryuji Sueoka put paid to their hopes of earning a point.
The return of defender Luciano Sobrosa will boost Salgaocar, who will be looking to get back to winning ways and give new coach David Booth his first win.
Pune FC are placed fifth with 14 points from nine matches. They were held to 2-2 draw by Mohun Bagan in the previous encounter.
Pune FC coach Derick Pereira indicated that tomorrow's match is not going to be an easy outing for his team. "I saw some of their matches and can tell you for sure that they (Salgaocar) are better than what their placing suggests."
"They have done well in some games and were unlucky not to get points and we need to play our best to collect full points," stated Pereira.
