Salgaocar FC will look to continue their winning ways when they take on Churchill Brothers in a Round 9 clash of the Goa Pro League which resumes tomorrow after a six-day break at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa.

The two teams last met in a high-voltage encounter on the final day of the 2013-14 I-League season with the Red Machines having secured a hard-fought 2-1 win.

Salgaocar FC, with a near perfect record thus far, have made an unblemished start to their 2014-15 campaign accumulating an unassailable 20 points from eight outings, courtesy six wins and two draws.

Churchill Brothers, on the other hand, sit in fifth position with 13 points from seven outings. Salgaocar are assured of a top of the table finish at the end of Phase I of the league, irrespective of results from the pending matches and a win tomorrow would make them clear favourites to regain the Goa Professional League which they last won in 2012.

"We have started the year well and we hope to carry this form through the course of the season. Whilst there is always scope for improvement, I am satisfied with the overall performance of the boys," commented coach Derrick Pereira.
