Singer Sam Smith says he is over critics and only cares about what his fans think about his music.
The "Stay With Me" singer took to Twitter to reveal he has
made a vow to no longer read professional reviews of his art.
"It's so tough to win the thumbs up from people that are paid to come to see what you do, when they could hate your music to begin with.
"Sometimes you're never going to win. The reviews I care about are from YOU. And only you - my fans. The people who have put me here. (sic)"
The 23-year-old pop star also admitted it is difficult for
him to focus on positive comments when there are negatives as well.
"Why is it when you have a crowd of people saying you're great - you notice the one who says you're not? Haha the heart is complicated. I'm getting there thou (sic) lol slowly but surely.
