Supporters of integrated Andhra Pradesh today organised 'Samaikyata Run' (run for unity) at a number of towns in the Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions against the division of state.
Congress MP L Rajagopal, Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers (APNGOs) Association president P Ashok Babu attended the run organised in Vijayawada.
State minister T G Venkatesh participated in the event in Kurnool district, while several others attended the run at different places in the two regions.
A group of united Andhra Pradesh supporters, including government employees, students and advocates, will go to Delhi on February 11 and meet national leaders to get their backing for their campaign, Babu said.
On February 17, they will sit on a dharna at Jantar Mantar in support of the demand to keep the state united, he said.
