The Central Sarna Samiti today called upon Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das and urged him to protect religious-cultural tradition.
Headed by Phoolchand Tirkey, the Samiti appealed to the CM to include 'Sarna religious code in jangaran form', introduce anti-conversion bill, de-reservation of converted tribals, boundaries around religious places among other demands, an official release said here.
The Chief Minister assured the Samiti would ponder over seriously on the issues and take constructive action, the release said.
Besides Tirkey, other members include Sandip Oraon, Sunil Fakira, Megha Oraon, Bablu Munda, Shobha Kachchap, Bhikh Oraon, Akash Oraon, Bindeswhar Oraon, Krishnakant Toppo, Kailash Keshri, Viswas Oraon and Ramdas Oraon, the release added.
