Union minister Vijay Sampla today claimed that the DISHA meeting of Hoshiarpur district had to be postponed today after the deputy commissioner chose to miss it.
Sampla, notified chairman DISHA, told PTI that the meeting was slated for today at the office of additional deputy commissioner of Hoshiarpur.
The DC is himself supposed to convene the meeting of DISHA--district development coordination and monitoring committee.

"Earlier also on June 21 a meeting of DISHA was postponed as the DC Vipul Ujjwal showed inability to attend it in view of the Punjab Assembly session," he claimed.
"I came for today's meeting at sharp 11 AM, but the DC was not present...At 11.25 AM I had to postpone the meeting due to irresponsible behaviour of the DC," he claimed.
However, Ujjwal, also member secretary of the committee, claimed he was at the venue of the meeting for five minutes and had to leave in between due to a personal emergency.
"I returned at the venue of the meeting after 10 minutes but by that time the minister had left," he claimed.
He said he had spoken to the minister and the matter had been sorted out and the meeting will now take place at a new date.
However, the minister claimed that the DC was busy in inaugurating 'Sanjhi Rasoi' and deliberately chose to miss the meeting.
The DISHA meeting is held at least once in every quarter to review programmes of the Centre as per the implementation plan and time frame.
"The previous quarter meeting of Hoshiarpur district had also not taken place," Sampla said.
DISHA is formed with a view to fulfilling the objective of ensuring a better coordination among all the elected representatives in Parliament, state legislatures and local governments (Panchayati Raj Institutions/Municipal Bodies) for efficient and time-bound development of districts.
