Underscoring the importance of value-based education, Union Minister Vijay Sampla said education in human values was of utmost significance as it would lead to better relationships among family members and the society at large.
The Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment yesterday said traditional learning laid emphasis on wisdom.
Maintaining that there were deficiencies in the current curriculum, Sampla said human values and wisdom should be incorporated in the curriculum.
He was speaking at the convocation ceremony of a private institute of management and technology here.
On the occasion, he honoured 34 toppers and awarded degrees to over 350 graduates and post-graduates in professional courses.
