Senior Congress leader Amarjit Singh Samra was today appointed the chairman of the Punjab State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. Known as 'Markfed'.
A spokesperson of chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh's office said that orders of Samra's appointment as Markfed Chairman have been issued.
Samra had earlier served as minister of revenue and rehabilitation in the Captain Amarinder Singh's earlier stint as chief minister of Punjab from 2002-07.
