Luggage and travel accessories maker Samsonite International today said it has elevated Ramesh Tainwala as its Chief Operating Officer.
"Tainwala will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business of the company globally and continue to be directly involved in the management of the company's business in China, the Philippines and Australia," the company said in a statement.
Tainwala had served as Samsonite International Executive Director and President for Asia-Pacific and Middle East since February 2011 and his responsibilities included the Group's manufacturing operations in India as well as marketing and sales in the Middle East, West Asia and Australia.
Leo Boo Suk Suh will be taking over from Tainwala as President, Samsonite Asia and Middle East.
