: Electronics major Samsung would target non-metro cities as part of its plans to garner 35 per cent market share through new generation of refrigerators.
According to a company statement, Samsung holds 40 per cent market share in the frost free refrigerator segment and recently launched the twin cooling plus technology enabled refrigerators.
"The consumer electronics business in India has a strong hold in urban areas. The brand is poised to capture wider base across non-metro cities and consolidate the leadership position with a new generation of refrigerators", it said.

With energy efficient, inverter and solar compatible refrigerators, Samsung eyes 35 per cent market share in the Rs 14,000 price range of refrigerators, the statement said.
The company currently has 535 service vans that would provide customer service in both urban and rural areas, taking the total number of service network to 3,000,it added.
