Mathew Samuel, editor of Narada News, is likely to file within a day or two a petition before the Calcutta High Court seeking a direction for withdrawal of any 'look out' notice against him in connection with police investigation over his sting operation on TMC leaders.

He came to the high court today and affirmed the petition before the Oath Commissioner.

The petition is likely to be filed within a day or two, his counsel Arunabha Ghosh said.

Ghosh said the petition seeks withdrawal of 'look out' notice, if any, apparently issued by Kolkata Police as he was unable to go abroad for work.

A 'look out' notice is a circular letter used by authorities at immigration checks and at international borders to check whether a traveling person is wanted by the police.

Samuel had allegedly carried out the sting operation showing people resembling senior Trinamool Congress leaders accepting money.

The videos released by Samuel in this regard had created a political furore before the West Bengal assembly elections earlier this year.
