Sanam Singh today replaced an injured Yuki Bhambri as a playing member in the Indian Davis Cup squad, which will take on Korea in a second round clash in the Asia/Oceania Group I contest next month.

While practicing, Yuki hurt his left heel and has been advised rest for 10-12 days, which means he will not be able to participate in the April 4-6 tie in Busan.

Sanam and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan were part of the squad as reserve players.

"Sanam Singh has been selected as playing member of Indian Davis Cup Squad for the upcoming Davis Cup tie against Korea Republic as Yuki Bhambri has shown his inability to participate due to injury. Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan would be the reserve," an AITA release said.

The winner of the tie will qualify for the World Group play-off tie, to be held in September.
