Talking tough against alleged nexus between politicians and militants in Meghalaya, Chief Minister Mukul Sangma today said that security agencies will verify any such link and legal action would be taken.
Sangma told reporters that he cannot rule out nexus between politicians and militant organisations in the Garo Hills region of the state where trouble erupted frequently.
"I had made the position of the government very clear. We cannot rule out nexus between politicians and militant organisations in the Garo Hills region," Sangma said.

The CM said that whenever such information was substantiated with evidence, the law would take its own course.
"No politician will be insulated from the purview of law. Law is for all," he said.
Sangma also made it clear that the consultation on the Meghalaya Regulation of Landlords and Verification of Tenancy Bill, 2013, aimed at checking influx and illegal immigration in the state, will continue despite stiff opposition from several quarters.
Sangma also blamed the pro-Inner Line Permit groups for being "adamant" in their demand for implementation of the ILP.
"The pressure groups are adamant that the government should implement the ILP," the chief minister said.
Blaming the pro-ILP groups of tailoring certain opposition to the proposed Bill, Sangma said that a profiling of protesters will be made to see who the people were actually behind the opposition.
