Sangwan wins Usha Punjab Juniors in exciting finish

The course was in great shape and played very well. The front nine holes were playing easy with wide fairways but a little rough.

However, the back nine holes were tough surrounded by thick rough and few blind holes. The last two days failed to produce a single sub-par score in the challenging conditions.

Piyush, who began the day trailing Yashas Chandra (77), ended with a 75, the same as the 17-year-old Sidhartha.

Mysore's Yashas faltered on the final day with a 77 and ended third overall at 296, but he was second in Category A, where the topper was Sidhartha.

 

Meanwhile, Sangwan grabbed the combined honours for Category A and B. The 14-year-old won the trophy in his own Category B with a total of 295, while Delhi's Tanvir Kahlon (76) was the runner
