The advancement in medicine has raised hope for cancer patients, Indian woman tennis ace Sania Mirza said here today.
Sania, who joined child cancer survivors at a private super-speciality hospital here in celebrating Children's Day, said parents should seek timely medical help for their children.
"When you don't have health, you don't have anything. We go out for materialistic things in life and we forget about health. The fact that kids can get over such a terrible disease, it gives you so much inspiration," she told reporters.

"I lost my grandfather to cancer. That time, cancer treatment was not that advanced. Today, we have doctors who can help us," she said.
Asked who would be her mixed doubles partner for the coming season, Sania said: "I don't know yet.
