Continuing their good form, the top seeded pair of Sania Mirza and Cara Black booked a semifinal berth at the WTA Portugal Open, following an easy straight sets win over Silvia Soler-Espinosa and Shuai Zhang here today.
The Indo-Zimbabwean team defeated the Spnaish-Chinese pair 6-3 6-4 in one hour and nine minutes in the USD 250,000 clay court event.
They will fight it out against third seeded American pair of Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond for a place in the semifinals. Sania has partnered both Huber and Raymond in the past.
