Sanjay Banga was today appointed as the new chief executive officer of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), said a spokesperson of the power discom.
Banga will take over from Praveer Sinha, who has been elevated to the position of CEO and MD of Tata Power with effect from May 1, the spokesman said.
Banga has been with the TPDDL since July 2003 and was part of the founding team which transformed the ailing distribution company into a benchmark utility, he said.
Sanjay Banga has been serving as the Vice President - Power Management, Contracts and Business Development at the TPDDL.
Banga is an alumnus of the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, and an MBA Graduate from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi. He is also associated with the Harvard Business School for senior leadership management program, the spokesman added.
